Services

nationally accredited by Assessment and Qualifications Alliance AQA

One of the key ways that we support young people and adults is through our programme of services.

Each service is nationally accredited by Assessment and Qualifications Alliance (AQA) and has been tailor-made to meet the needs of individuals and organisations. We provide all our learners with the skills and knowledge to make the most of their potential.

Please take a look at our services and get in touch if you have any questions.

Amina and her team has rolled out some excellent presentation sessions for some our campus and our learners thought the stories were ‘Inspirational’. We will look forward to welcoming her back very soon

Inspiration on the Move

We believe in getting out and about to provide groups of children, young people and adults with the information and inspiration that will help them to improve their lives.

What organisations do we visit?

Our visits can benefit a range of organisations including:

  • Universities
  • Colleges
  • Secondary schools
  • Academies
  • Primary schools
  • Housing associations
  • Community groups

Who delivers the presentations?

Many of the presentations are delivered by young people who have themselves had to deal with the issues being discussed. This provides them with a strong insight into the challenges facing others and added credibility in offering support and guidance.

What issues are covered?

We can tailor-make the sessions to tackle these issues that are priorities for your organisation. These could include:

Combating bullying and harassment
  • Physical and mental wellbeing
  • Combating bullying and harassment
  • Managing money
  • Making the transition from primary to secondary school
  • Staying away from crime
  • Tackling drug and alcohol problems
  • Choosing a career
  • Employment skills
  • Aspirations and goal setting

Sessions can also be based around specific events such as:

  • Freshers Week
  • International Women’s Day
  • Transgender Awareness Week

What form do the sessions take?

We are very flexible and can vary the format to maximise the benefits to students. All visits feature a presentation but they can also include:

  • Speakers
  • Workshops
  • Short stories

Interactive sessions such as workshops can be especially effective in engaging with young people and providing them with the motivation and confidence to improve their lives.

How long do the sessions last?

We can deliver day and half-day sessions to meet the needs of your organisation.

We were lucky enough at The Manchester College to have Youth Elements deliver an inspirational talk during our induction week. The young speakers were motivated and inspiring to our young people, set excellent examples and acting as great peer role models. I would recommend Youth Elements to any organisations working with young people.

Money Methods

What makes this programme popular is that we use real life experiences and scenarios that individuals are likely to face in the future. No national banks or building societies are linked to the programme. Money Methods has been developed by young adults who have experienced financial situations.

This workshop ensures that young people are able to enjoy a bright financial future by teaching them about money management.

Managing your personal finances is a vital life skill and this programme looks at strategies for dealing with a range of key issues including:

  • Attitude towards money
  • Budgeting
  • Loans, credit and store cards
  • Debt
  • Taxes
  • Savings and bank accounts
  • Overdrafts and interest rates
  • Credit scores

By learning the importance of money management at an early age, the young people will be equipped to make the most of their resources in later life whether it be in managing a business or their personal budget.

Learning outcomes

  • Responsible approach to using financial services
  • Manage personal spending effectively
  • Understand how personal values affect attitudes to money management
  • Boost personal earning capacity
  • Awareness of interest rates, overdrafts and pay day loans
